Adele’s coming for you, Justin Bieber! Just hours after her album ’25’ dropped, she claimed the top spot in the iTunes album chart, just when it seemed like Justin was going to beat her. Sorry, not sorry for dominating, Justin!
Hello from the other side! Adele is flying high on the charts, and her new album, 25, stole the number one spot on the iTunes album chart from Justin Bieber‘s Purpose. Damn! Her album only dropped the morning of November 20, and it took just mere hours for her to climb the charts and claim her rightful throne. Congrats, girl!
Look at Adele smash the competition! Not only did she knock Purpose out of the top spot on iTunes, but she also snagged the number one single on the Billboard Top 100 chart for the lead single on 25, “Hello.” That spot also used to belong to Justin, for “Sorry,” and he didn’t even get bumped down to second place — he tumbled all the down to number three! Ouch!
Drake‘s banger “Hotline Bling” moved up to the second spot, and while that’s an amazing jam, we doubt it’s going to to overtake “Hello” anytime soon. After all, it’s not like the song automatically comes with his goofy as hell music video!
Adele’s definitely gaining ground and holding onto that top spot. Her last album, 21, is also charting on iTunes, coming in at number six. People were definitely feeling nostalgic for some classic Adele while they were patiently waiting for 25 to drop! You know, unless they were one of the people who heard the new album when it leaked in full two days before it dropped.
HollywoodLifers, did you go out and buy 25? Tell us what you thought about it in the comments!
