Now that Charlie Sheen has admitted to the world he’s HIV positive, Magic Johnson is calling on the actor to help him educate people about the disease, which he was also diagnosed with in 1991. See the NBA legend’s message for Charlie here!
Magic Johnson, 56, just put Charlie Sheen, 50, on the spot, urging him to educate the world on HIV and AIDS now that he has admitted to being positive on the TODAY show Nov. 17. The NBA legend, who was also diagnosed as HIV positive in 1991, wants the actor to team up with him to help “fight this disease.”
“I wish @CharlieSheen and his family the best. With the advancement in treatments and medicine he can fight this disease and live a long life,” Magic Johnson first tweeted at the Two and a Half Men actor on Nov. 17 before following it up with this message: “In @CharlieSheen breaking his silence, I hope he joins me in educating the world about HIV/AIDs.”
We have to hand it to Magic Johnson. It sounds like a good idea for Charlie to pull something positive out of his diagnosis. Especially because his ex-wife, Denise Richards, is worried he will “self destruct” now that he’s gone public with his disease. Perhaps educating people and doing something positive with his life with hinder Charlie from sinking into some sort of depression. “She knows very well Charlie’s extremely emotional and volatile. One minute he’s up and within seconds, he could flip and go to a very dark place,” a source told us EXCLUSIVELY.
We certainly hope Charlie doesn’t go to a “very dark place.” It’d be great to see him team up with Magic Johnson (buy his LA Lakers jersey here) and educate the world!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Magic Johnson and Charlie Sheen team up to educate the world on HIV/AIDS?
