Wow, this is completely shocking. While coming clean about his HIV positive diagnosis, Charlie Sheen also admitted to having unprotected sex with more than one person after he was aware of his sexually-transmitted medical condition. NOT good!
Charlie Sheen has made a shocking admission on the heels of confirming that he’s HIV positive. In the four years since he’s known he’s had the disease, the actor says he’s had unprotected sex…and more than once, too. Find out his justification of this decision here.
“The two people that I did that with…they were completely warned ahead of time,” the 50-year-old told Matt Lauer on the TODAY show Nov. 17. He also made sure to add that it’s “impossible” that he’s transmitted this disease to anyone, and that he’s told every sexual partner — “no exception” — about the condition.
Charlie said he’s completely aware of the law that it’s illegal to have sex with someone without divulging he has the disease, too. “Having divulged it is the reason I’m in the mess I’m in with having all the shakedowns,” he explained. “I can’t sit here and protect against all that or completely worry about it.”
The shakedowns the former Two and a Half Men star is referring to involve him being blackmailed by those who he told about his condition. In fact, he’s spent upward of $10 million to keep anyone who found out about his condition quiet, and it’s put him in a bit of a predicament. “[My financial situation] is not great,” he admitted. “But it’ll be great again. I’m a survivor.”
During the interview, Charlie also added that he’s told both his ex-wives, Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller, about the HIV, which he’s known about for four years. His doctor confirmed that the virus is currently undetectable in Charlie’s blood, and that the actor does not have AIDS.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Charlie having unprotected sex after his HIV diagnosis? Are you surprised?
