Vicki Gunvalson has some HARSH words for Brooks Ayers. The ‘RHOC’ star is understandably hurt (and pissed off!) after finding out her ex had faked having cancer treatments and she’s letting him know it in this new interview. Watch her talk about her hate for Brooks here!
The world was stunned when Brooks Ayers admitted he faked documents saying he was receiving treatment for cancer, but it seems no one was as shocked as his own ex-girlfriend, Vicki Gunvalson, who insists she knew absolutely nothing about Brooks’ ploy. And the 53–year-old isn’t shying away from spewing her hatred for her ex! Hear her side of the story here.
To kick the Q&A off, the Real Housewives of Orange County star made it clear that she was “completely shocked” upon learning Brooks had lied about having treatment for the disease at City of Hope. “I parked my car, walked into City of Hope — he was there all morning,” she said on Extra, revealing why it wasn’t hard for her to believe Brooks was seeing the doctors. “How do you think anything other than he’s getting chemo? You go to City of Hope because you have cancer. You don’t go because you have nothing to do the rest of the day.”
And now that she knows the truth, she’s livid. “I hate him. I hate him with everything in me — and I don’t hate people,” she ranted. “But I believed him. I trusted him. I defended him, took a bullet for him when people didn’t like him.” Brooks and Vicki’s entire relationship was tumultuous, but they stayed together for years before splitting in August. Despite their seemingly close relationship, though, Vicki is standing firm to the fact that she had no idea what Brooks was up to.
“My life is so abundant. I don’t need to make up a fake storyline,” she explained. “I sure the hell wouldn’t make it up about Brooks. They think I made this up. I didn’t make it up. As God as my witness, I didn’t make it up. I would never want to make something up like this. It actually makes me sick.”
In case you missed it — City of Hope revealed that Brooks had never received treatment at the facility, and then Brooks himself came forward to admit the truth. “Words cannot express the deep regret that I have in fabricating documents to ‘prove’ to the world that I, in fact, have cancer,” he told E! “What I did was wrong and inexcusable. I acted alone, without Vicki’s knowledge, to produce documents for a reality TV show in hopes of putting doubts about my cancer to rest. I never intended to disclose my actual medical records or details about my private and personal medical history, thus the rationalization of presenting documents that weren’t true simply for a ‘storyline’ for the show.”
Important to note: Brooks is still not denying the fact that he has the disease, he’s just confirming that he hasn’t gotten treatment at City of Hope. “From this day forward, my own personal journey with this disease will remain private as I initially intended over a year ago,” he added. “My sincerest apologies to my family, friends, loved ones and those who are battling this horrid disease for any additional pain and/or stress I have caused.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Vicki’s reaction is warranted? Or is she being too harsh?
