Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani will be mixing business with pleasure in a BIG way on ‘The Voice’ Nov. 9! The NBC show will be airing live for the first time since the pair confirmed their relationship, and HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that Gwen is beyond nervous about putting the romance in the spotlight.
Millions will tune in to see how Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani interact on The Voice Nov. 9 now that their romance has gone public — but will it be a PDA-filled flirt fest, or will the singers keep it low key? That very question is weighing heavy on Gwen’s mind, and HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE scoop about why she’s so anxious ahead of the live show.
“Gwen is somewhat freaked out about having the spotlight on her,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It makes her slightly anxious. She doesn’t want to make a spectacle of their relationship and she definitely doesn’t want her kids to see her acting out of character on TV with a man that isn’t their dad.”
But, as we previously reported, the country singer has a different idea about how to handle the relationship on live television. “Blake is loving all the excitement,” our source added. “He’s like a big kid with a huge grin on his face right now. He’s been teasing Gwen and telling her he’s going to flirt like crazy with her on the show. He joked that he was going to come over and sit in her lap and give her a big kiss.”
OMG, wouldn’t that be totally crazy?! Of course, the show is mostly about the contestants who are working their butts off to pursue their dreams, but it certainly doesn’t hope that many viewers will be tuning in to see how these two interact. This whole thing has been happening so fast — the couple just confirmed they’re dating on Nov. 4 — and things are still very new, so don’t be too disappointed if they decide not to act overly flirtatious tonight.
We’ll have to tune into NBC at 8pm for tonight’s episode to see what ends up going down, but it’s pretty clear that things are heating up between these two. “Blake loves that Gwen lets him be himself,” an insider told us EXCLUSIVELY. “He doesn’t have to put up an act. He doesn’t have to stop being immature and goofy when he needs to be with his friends and she lets him not have to deal with any pressure.” Awwww!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Blake and Gwen will be overly flirtatious with one another on The Voice tonight? Do you think it’s appropriate?
