The girl can rock, alright! Miranda Lambert ensured all eyes were on her when she took to the stage to perform her new song ‘Bathroom Sink’ at the CMA Awards on Nov. 4. The country songstress rocked her emotional performance in a sexy denim look and stilettos heels. What did you think?
Miranda Lambert, 31, may be heartbroken over her split from Blake Shelton, but it looks like the single life is certainly agreeing with her. The country crooner looked amazing as she hit the stage at the 2015 CMA Awards on Nov. 4 to perform her hit “Bathroom Sink” dressed in a pair of skintight jeans and an embellished denim jacket. Yeah, eat your heart out Blake!
For the first time since her divorce, Miranda took the 2015 CMAs stage with nothing but her pink highlights and a matching guitar to perform what was undoubtably one of her most emotional performances to date. While the gorgeous singer may have been fighting back tears throughout most of her performance, her outfit proved she’s still every bit the tough-as-nails country rocker that we’ve all come to know and love.
Ditching her slinky black Versace gown, Miranda slipped into pair black curve-hugging jeans and a jewel-embellished denim jacket for a look that was every bit as sexier, if not cooler, than the one she wore on the red carpet. It was somehow tough and girly all at the same time — just like Miranda herself!
Sadly, this night has been anything but easy it seems for the “Little Red Wagon” singer. Miranda made it painfully clear that she was still hurting after her split from Blake during her live performance. The song itself is all about facing the public even when you’re at your absolute worst, which is likely something she had to do that very night in light of all the drama and tension surrounding it. “It’s exhausting… all the stuff that goes into just going out into public sometimes,” she said in an interview with SPIN in 2014. I wish I could just not do it for a day and see what happens. The ‘Bathroom Sink‘ is the place where every women has to face who she really is and who she wants to be.”
As if her recent divorce wasn’t difficult enough, things got considerably more awkward for Miranda at the CMAs her ex-husband not only confirmed his romance with his new girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, 46, just hours before the show, but also put on a killer performance right before hers! We really feel for Miranda on this one and commend her for being so brave. Way to go, girl!
