Uh oh! Even more photoshopped images from Zendaya Coleman’s ‘Modeliste’ shoot have been released, and the dramatic changes made to her face and body just keep getting more appalling. You’ve gotta see the pics.
Zendaya Coleman, 19, slammed Modeliste magazine for photoshopping her Nov. cover to the extreme. Now, even more photos have been released and they are truly disturbing. You’ve got to check out the dramatic difference.
Upon seeing the altered photos of herself in Modeliste, Zendaya shared one on Instagram and called the mag out for shaving pounds off her body. Amy McCabe, Editor-in-Chief of Modeliste agreed, and pulled the images to replace them with the real deal. But now, the recalled photos that were never meant to see the light of day have been released by the Daily Mail, and we can certainly see why Zendaya was so upset. The difference is dramatic. At the very least, some photos remove her baby hair, tan her skin and remove veins and wrinkles. Others are even more extreme; shaving inches off of her already-slender legs and stomach – one picture even removes her hand! It’s no wonder why Zendaya was concerned about creating an unrealistic image for young girls.
While the extreme changes in her legs and stomach would be a glaring change to anyone, Zendaya finds value in even the littlest parts of her image. Amy explains in an open letter, “she specifically had noted that her fine baby hairs had been photoshopped from her forehead. It was incredibly profound that this was something in particular in which she loves about herself, and what is a part of what makes her who she is.” We love that Zendaya loves herself completely, from her toes up to her baby hairs.
Zendaya has really embodied the “role-model” title that so many other stars try to shrug off, and her work for body image and female empowerment is truly inspiring. No 19-year-old should be told that they are any less than perfect the way they are, and while so many would just accept it and keep quiet, we admire Zendaya for staying true to herself, being honest, and fighting for what’s right. You go girl!
