Baby, baby, baby — Jasmine V is having a baby! “You take the test, and you’re not sure, and then you take another one. It was a very crazy moment for me; I never thought I would have a baby at 22, but I’m definitely excited. I’m super excited to meet my baby and to be a mom,” Jasmine told Cosmo for Latinas. Jasmine is on the cusp of making it big in the music industry, already having toured with Fifth Harmony and Jake Miller, and gotten in the studio with Kendrick Lamar. So impressive! She’s in the middle of recording her first album, but having a baby understandably changes everything. Jasmine isn’t sweating it.
“Of course, there are different consequences,” Jasmine told the mag. “I can’t run on stage and perform. And I’ll have to work 10 times harder. There will be no ‘off’ days anymore. I’ll still be recording songs though, and I’m thrilled to be sharing my journey through social media.”
After appearing in Justin’s mega-popular “Baby” music video in 2010, when they were just 17 and 16, respectively, Jasmine and Justin started dating. Beliebers freaked out when pictures surfaced of the two kissing in the back of a car. So scandalous. But Jasmine’s all grown up now, and starting an amazing new chapter of her life.
