Karma and Amy shared one HOT kiss in the pool on last week’s episode of ‘Faking It.’ So where does this leave the two BFFs, given Amy’s feelings for Karma? Katie Stevens tells HollywoodLife.com what’s coming up in the Nov. 2 finale!
We all know how Amy (Rita Volk) feels about Karma, but after that kiss in last week’s episode, we’re not sure where Karma stands. The season two finale airs tonight, Nov. 2, and Katie Stevens reveals to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY how Karma feels after that “impulsive” kiss, and what this means for Karmy’s friendship.
Karma had a few too many drinks when she locked lips with Amy again, and now her friendship may be on the line. Is Karma finally realizing that she has feelings for Amy that are more than platonic?
“I think Karma loves Amy. I’m not sure she knows what that love is. I think that moment was Karma being a little too drunk, and in that moment she wasn’t thinking clearly and acting out of impulse,” Katie tells HollywoodLife.com. “I can’t say she doesn’t feel more for Amy or that she does because I honestly don’t know what the writers have planned in future seasons, and like I said, I don’t think Karma knows yet either. I think Faking It is about self-discovery, and I think both Amy and Karma’s characters show high school self-discovery in a really authentic way. “
So where does this leave Karma and Amy? Amy has struggled over the past season to really put her romantic feelings for Karma behind her, but does Karma even realize she may be hurting Amy by giving her hope that there’s something more between them?
“I think she is conscious of it. We’ve seen it in previous episodes. She didn’t want to go to the hoedown as ‘fake lesbians’ because she was sensitive of Amy’s feelings,” Katie continues. “I think she’s struggling with trying to get back the best-friendship that they’ve had their whole lives. And now that Amy’s feelings are stronger, it’s a struggle for her to balance what is okay and what’s not.”
At the end of the day, Karma does love Amy and doesn’t want to do anything that would jeopardize their friendship. “Karma genuinely does not want to hurt Amy, and she really doesn’t want to lose her either,” Katie says.
But will it be enough? Amy and Karma’s friendship may reach a breaking point in the finale. Tune in to the finale, Nov. 2, at 9:30 p.m. ET to find out what goes down!
