It’s time for another year of crazy costumes from Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan! Halloween seems to be the favorite holiday of the morning show hosts, and they prove that every year with amazing outfits. And from ‘Magic Mike’ to Donald Trump, this year was no exception!
Kelly Ripa, 45, and Michael Strahan, 43, never fail to blow us away with their totally on-point Halloween costumes. For 2015’s #LIVEHalloween, the Live With Kelly And Michael co-hosts nailed ensembles straight out of Magic Mike, Empire, and Star Wars — even throwing in a perfect Donald Trump impersonation! Let’s just say we’re glad we’re not in a costume contest with them!
With tons of well-known pop culture costumes to choose from, Michael and Kelly definitely chose the best ones. Neither Kelly nor Michael are afraid to go out of their comfort zones and over the top for their annual Halloween special, and they kicked the show off by killing it at Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker from Star Wars.
But Kelly may have actually outdone herself this year by being part of the Magic Mike crew! In order to look the part, she sported a nude-colored top — complete with chest hair — and a man’s wig! Channing Tatum even showed up to get in on the skit (although, unfortunately, we didn’t get to see him strip OR shirtless). The talk show host also put her best combover on and became Donald Trump, and took on Katy Perry’s Super Bowl 2015 look. But Kelly wasn’t alone in doing something crazy — Michael dressed as Cookie Lyon from FOX’s Empire and obviously nailed it, sass and all, and played Katy’s Super Bowl right-hand man…Left Shark! All their looks were totally relevant to the world of pop culture today, and we praise them for taking it to the next level and going all out.
To top off their absolutely perfect costumes, Kelly and Michael’s Halloween special included a slew of awesome celebrity guests! Tony Goldwyn, Ryan Reynolds, Kerry Washington, Kate Hudson and more showed up to get in on some fun spoofs, and it totally brought the whole show together. One of our favorite moments was the Survivor skit, in which Michael’s Kanye West and Kelly’s Trump competed against one another in the popular CBS game show, and Jeff Probst even stepped in to play his role as host. Needless to say, it was one big star-studded, awesome-costume-filled Halloween celebration!
