Anna Duggar may have rejected Jim Bob Duggar’s offer to buy her and Josh Duggar a new home, but he’s not ready to give up just yet! HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that he’s willing to do anything to get Anna back on the family’s side as he fears their split could mean the end of the entire family!
Jim Bob Duggar, 50, is desperate to keep the marriage between his son, Josh Duggar, 27, and his daughter-in-law, Anna Duggar, 27, alive. While Anna may have rejected his initial offer to buy them a fancy new home, Jim Bob isn’t done bribing just yet, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. The 19 Kids And Counting star is willing to do just about anything to keep their marriage from failing, as he knows that will be “the nail in the coffin” for the whole family!
“If Anna doesn’t accept the house and do what she can to save her marriage, things are going to get very uncomfortable,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “This is more than just about saving their marriage, in Jim Bob’s eyes, he’s fighting to save the entire family. If Anna leaves Josh it will be the nail in his coffin for Josh and the rest of the family. Getting Anna back in line and on board is priority one right now. If this house doesn’t work, if bribes won’t work, then Jim Bob will come up with a plan B. He’s not the kind of guy that just gives up.”
In case you forgot, the couple’s union was rocked by allegations earlier this year after it was revealed that Josh molested four of his sisters as a teen. However, things only continued to get worse after it was revealed that he had used the cheating website Ashley Madison to facilitate several affairs!
While Josh is currently staying in a faith-based rehab center to battle his porn and cheating addictions, Anna and the couple’s four kids have reportedly been bouncing between her parents home in Florida to sleeping in a closet on the second floor of the Duggar family’s estate in Arkansas. To help smooth things over, Jim Bob then went ahead and purchased a sprawling 3,800 square foot brick mansion on two acres of land just an eight minute walk from the Duggar compound, which he hoped he could use to bribe Anna into staying married to Josh, In Touch Weekly reports.
Unfortunately for Jim Bob, Anna isn’t buying into his bribes and materialism. “A big fancy house is not that impressive, and [Anna] says she simply can’t be bought,” added the source. “Anna has a new sense of self and isn’t going to put on the happy family show just to please her in-laws. She feels like they are more concerned with image than with the reality of the situation.”
Way to go Anna! If she does decide to stay with Josh, that decision should definitely have nothing to do with their materials assets, but on their mutual desire to stay together.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Anna should be with Josh?
