The truth actually came out as a result of a game of oneupmanship, according to The Sun. George was sitting on the judging panel next to Will.i.am, Ricky Wilson and Paloma Faith. Suddenly, a conversation began about the various artists each judge had worked with in the past.
George, never one to sit quiet, explained that, “I have duetted with some of the greatest soul singers in history, including Luther Vandross and Smokey Robinson.” Paloma wasn’t about to let George win easily, and said, “Well okay, if we’re throwing big soul names out there, I’ve performed with Prince.”
You can probably see where this is going.
“Forget that, darling,” George responded. “I’ve slept with Prince.” Yup, you read that correctly. Boy George said the words, “I’ve slept with Prince.”
So now you understand why the audience completely lost their minds. Following the admission, a source revealed that, “We just couldn’t believe what he had come out with – and the guys in the gallery were beside themselves.”
