The All American Rejects are back, and they’ve scored an Oscar nominee for their latest music video ‘There’s A Place.’ The band’s song appears in the new drama ‘Miss You Already’ and the video features the film’s star Toni Collette. We’ve sure been missing new music from the Rejects!
The All American Rejects finally have some new music to tide their fans over before they release their fifth studio album! The band has debuted their video for the song “There’s A Place” which will be featured in the upcoming film Miss You Already. The movie stars Oscar and Golden Globe nominee Toni Collette, 42, who shows up in the Rejects’ new video about loss and longing.
The video, shot in a dark alleyway, highlights lead singer and guitarist Tyson Ritter belting out the sensitive chorus “All I want, wanted. Was to be want, wanted by you. All I need, I needed. Was to be need, needed by you.” The handsome singer later transforms into an elderly version of himself in the video, thanks to an amazing hair and makeup job, showing what he’s going to look like once time has passed him by.
Aussie actress Toni headlines the film, and is featured in the moody video. She’s shown sipping from a mug though a dining room window in a blurry light, until the near the end of the video where she comes in to focus. She notices Tyler outside her window, and gets up to shut the door in his face! An All American Reject gets rejected! The video was made by acclaimed director by Catherine Hardwicke, who not only helmed the original Twilight film, but directed Miss You Already as well.
The movie is about two women who have been best friends since childhood. Toni stars as Milly and Drew Barrymore plays her best pal Jess. Always inseparable, the pair’s friendship faces highs and lows as Milly learns the horrible news that she has a life threatening disease, just as Jess gets the joyful news that she’s finally going to become a mother! We’ll definitely keep a box of tissues on hand for this flick, which opens on Nov. 6.
