Halloween is just one day away, and it’s a really emotional time for James Corden and Billy Eichner. The duo teamed up to parody Adele’s “Hello” music video — it’s EPIC. They reflect on their past Halloweens together dressed up as Chewbacca and Han Solo, and it’s a sad trip down memory lane.
James calls Billy up to ask if he wants to go trick-or-treating again this year just like the old days. Billy turns him down cold while dressed in a cow costume. He says he’s too old. Lies. That’s when James breaks into song.
“Halloween, it’s me. I was wondering if after all these year you’d like to trick-or-treat,” James sings. “I’m in California, dreaming of how we used to be. When we were Han and Chewie, we’d walk ‘round the neighborhood with whip cream and TP.”
However, friendship always prevails in the end, especially one like James and Billy’s. Billy shows up to a house alongside James’ Chewie dressed as Han Solo. They hug it out right there on the doorstep before heading out for more trick-or-treating. It’s a very emotional moment for all. Almost more emotional than Adele’s music video. But not quite.
