Vanessa Hudgens got into the Halloween spirit with ombré red hair. The actress has been full of festive looks for the holiday on Instagram, and her latest is our favorite one yet. Find out how you can copy her look temporarily.
Vanessa Hudgens has had lots of hair tricks up her sleeves lately ahead of the Halloween season. She’s gone from waist-length boho waves back to a layered lob style, and on October 26, she added bold red streaks into the mix. Vanessa’s red hair is an easy way to get in on the Halloween fun without dedicating hours of planning and executing your look.

When Vanessa revealed her new red color on Instagram, we couldn’t help but notice that she’s now hair twinning with BFF Ashley Tisdale, who dyed her blonde locks red earlier this month. But where Ashley went with a full head of the bold hue, Vanessa opted for softer highlights that frame her face.
Unlike pal Ashley, Vanessa’s look was also temporary, since she captioned her selfie “You can never be too festive,” and was back to her dark black color the next day. To copy her look for Halloween and beyond, you can use a hair chalk like Bella Donna in Red to draw on color exactly where you want it. Or, for a faster method, use a spray like Jerome Russell B Wild Color Spray in Cougar Red. Either option will give you a playful burst of color for the day that completely washes out.
Vanessa Hudgens’ Red Hair — Copy Her Festive Color For Halloween
The temporary hair color look is the perfect way to complete a full costume (think Margot Robbie‘s Suicide Squad rainbow bright pigtails), or it’s an easy way to get into the Halloween spirit without going overboard. A pop of bright red or soft lavender hair lets you get in on the fun without committing to a whole look.
