The Little Mix chicks aren’t going to let Zayn Malik off the hook yet for breaking off his engagement to Perrie Edwards. He should probably listen carefully to their new song, “Hair!”
Little Mix was asked, while being interviewed on the UTV show Total Access on October 27, about a certain dirty word in their new single “Hair.” Who exactly were they calling a “bellend?” Perrie Edwards, 23, heavily hinted that it’s aimed at someone we all know: Zayn Malik, 23!
The interviewer was dying to know the story behind “Hair,” which definitely throws shade at a certain someone. “Well you know sometimes when you break up with someone they are that word [bellend] so it’s alright to say in a song,” Jade Thirlwall told the host.
Perrie chimes in: “Yeah it is. He was just a bellend and I knew it.” Well, we think we solved this lyrical mystery! It’s a breakup song about someone truly terrible who’s done one of the girls wrong. Sounds a little like Zayn, doesn’t it? For those still confused because they’re not up on their British slang, that nasty word,”bellend,” means “d–khead.” Damn, Perrie!
It’s crystal clear that Zayn deeply wronged Perrie when he called off their engagement in early 2015. Since their split, Perrie has held her head high; Little Mix has held a united front against Zayn, being sure to diss the former 1D singer whenever they can. Though it’s great fun to mention Zayn in her music, Perrie’s totally over him; a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that they’re never getting back together!
“Perrie doesn’t love Zayn anymore. As far as she’s concerned, her love for him died a long time ago,” the source said. “She’s happily dating other guys, doesn’t love him anymore and wouldn’t take him back.” Good for her!
HollywoodLifers, are you shocked by Little Mix’s racy insult? Tell us in the comments!
