Leah Messer and Corey Simms’ custody battle just recently took a giant turn, and now the ‘TM2’ star is speaking out. After losing primary custody of her twin daughters, Ali and Aleeah, she is ready to set the record straight about her ex. Click to find out the alarming details.
Leah Messer, 23, has been battling her ex-husband Corey Simms, 26, in court for a long time. As of Oct. 7, he won primary custody of their twin daughters Aliannah and Aleeah. Now, the mother of three is lashing out and what she reveals about her ex isn’t pretty.
It’s not easy losing primary custody of your children, and for Leah, it’s no different. “I Have done so much to become a better person, it was like a slap in the face.” the mother of three revealed to In Touch. On Oct. 7, a West Virginia judge gave Corey the right to have their girls Monday through Friday, and Leah just weekends. A major part of the reason why Corey started to take Leah to court over their custody agreement came down to her not getting the kids to various places on time.
Sweet Ali was not getting to her physical-therapy appointments for her muscular dystrophy, and Corey was livid over that — as he should be. Then there was the issue of them missing and or being late to school. Not to mention Leah’s reported abuse of prescription pills or rehab stint. Yet, Leah thinks none of that could be the REAL motivation behind her ex taking the kids. “I think child support has a lot to do with it,” Leah told the outlet. “When him and Miranda first met, that’s when he started the full-custody thing. It hasn’t stopped since then.”
She also added, “I feel like they should have both of us in their lives. At the end of the day, my kids are going to be happy, and I don’t care what I have to do to make them happy.” Well, it seems Leah is in denial still. Corey has proven time and time again that his kids come first and that means their safety is a major, major concern of his. Until Leah can prove that she is fit to parent full-time, the court sees it best they be with their well equipped dad. If anything, this is going to make for an interesting next season of Teen Mom 2!
