So scary! Kim Zolciak has undergone heart surgery following the terrifying stroke she suffered in September. Is she doing okay? Here is what we know so far.
Kim Zolciak is so brave! The 37-year-old is, thankfully, recovering well, following a heart surgery some time earlier this week. The former Dancing With the Stars competitor took to Instagram on Oct. 27 to let her fans know that she is doing just fine, post-operation. The surgery comes just over a month after the mother-of-five suffered a stroke on Sept. 22, which caused her to temporarily lose the ability to speak. We have all the info on Kim’s condition and her recovery.
Kim shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed, informing everyone that her operation went smoothly. “My heart surgery was a success!!” she wrote, using the heart emoji instead of the actual word (naturally). “I can’t wait to be back on my feet 100%! Glad it’s over! Quite the whirlwind this last month has been…but such a blessing too,” she added. See the full post below!
Kim, of course, adorned the pic with the appropriate hashtags, #MyFamilyHasBeenAmazing #TheFalconsHaveBeenSupportive #GodIsIncredible #Blessed #Grateful #ThankYouToMyDosctorsAndNurses #AmazingTeam
Kim’s hubby, Kroy Biermann, 30, is a defensive player for the Atlanta Falcons, which explains that “supportive Falcons” hashtag!
For those who don’t remember the scary details of Kim’s medical crisis, she had been competing on DWTS when she took a redeye flight home from Los Angeles to Atlanta following the Sept. 22 live performance show. She then suffered a stroke, causing her to temporarily lose feeling in her left side, as well as the ability to speak. She announced in an interview on Oct. 8 that doctors discovered a hole in her heart, for which she would need surgery.
Luckily, it seems that Kim is slowly but surely making her way towards a full recovery. Sadly, though, she did have to withdraw from the Dancing competition and was disqualified, but the fiery blonde swears she will make a triumphant return!
We are wishing Kim all the positive energy in the world on her journey to recovery! Do you want to see her return to DWTS?
