Jean-Luc Bilodeau Hospitalized

So tragic. ‘Babby Daddy’ actor Jean-Luc Bilodeau was hospitalized after the costume he was wearing went up in flames while attending a Halloween party. The actor had to be treated for burn injuries, but his rep said that he is expected to make a full recovery.

Well that was a nasty trick. Jean-Luc Bilodeau, 24, just wanted to have a fun night with friends on Oct. 26, when he suffered a tragic accident. Paramedics had to be called when the Baby Daddy star’s costume caught on fire while he was attending a Halloween party. The actor was rushed to the hospital where he was treated for injuries to his arms and legs.

Jean-Luc was reportedly attending a costume party at the home of his co-star Tahj Mowry, 29, when the incident happened, according to TMZ. The Baby Daddy star caught fire when he stood too close to an open flame while wearing an alpaca costume made out of cotton balls and lycra. “At the party, Jean-Luc’s costume caught on fire when he got too close to an open flame and he suffered burns to his legs and arms,” he rep said in a statement. “From what we understand, it was no one’s fault and this was merely a freak accident.” Pictures taken of Tahj’s home show several tiki torches spread throughout the yard, with unprotected flames spouting out of them.

While details on his injuries were hard to come by, his rep did say that “he is expected to make a full recovery”. The timing of the accident is also unfortunate since Baby Daddy was in the midst of shooting it’s fifth season and production will now have to be delayed to give him time to recover from his injuries. The show had begun shooting in mid-August and will premiere it’s newest season on Feb. 3. We wish Jean-Luc a full and speedy recovery!
