No Doubt about it: Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are talking up a storm backstage at ‘The Voice,’ but it may not be about what you’re hoping. A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that there’s one topic off the table for the rockers: their divorces!
Don’t get your hopes up just yet; Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton haven’t refused to talk about their exes because they’re firing up their own relationship; Blake wants a 100 percent drama-free environment on The Voice set, and that means not being dragged down by the thought of his failed marriage.
“Blake doesn’t really bring his divorce talk to her; he tries to make the day on set fun by telling jokes and being a goofball,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It’s more important for him that everyone is in a good mood. No drama!
“Blake loves talking to Gwen and talking to her about music and everything else, except divorce talk,” the source continued. “Blake doesn’t like talking about divorce because it gets him to think about his divorce, and he wants to move forward instead of backwards.”
We love that these two are pals, and they definitely have each others’ backs while both going through such a rough time. It seems like it would be therapeutic to talk about divorce together, though — especially when they’ve got super-happy newlywed Adam Levine also on set!
Gwen Stefani Serenades Blake Shelton With Sexy Performance Of ‘Hotline Bling’ — Video
So…Blake isn’t down for talking about divorce, but maybe the best way to move forward is to get with someone new? The Voice coaches all appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on October 26, to play a rousing round of “Spin the Microphone.” No, there wasn’t any awkward kissing involved.
Gwen got chosen to sing “Hotline Bling,” and she did it more than justice — no Drake dancing — by getting up close and personal with Blake. Like, very up close. Gwen and Blake are total pals who are always playing jokes on each other, but in this moment, nobody was laughing. There was some serious chemistry displayed!
