Along with the news of the revival of ‘Gilmore Girls’ heading to Netflix, we also found out there will only be four 90-minute episodes. So, why is that?
Still freaking out over the Gilmore Girls revival series? Yes, we are too. It seems like every day we’re learning more about the Netflix revival, and yes, Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson are all expected to return. Picking up in present day, it will be eight years since Rory has graduated! Now we just need to know how the four episodes will be split up.
Four 90-minute episodes means this is pretty much four movies, right? We think so. Anyways, according to our sister site, TVLine, each episode will represent a season — spring, summer, fall and winter.
Gilmore Girls: The Complete Series Collection
As we told you previously, Amy Sherman-Palladino and exec producer Daniel Palladino will return to do the mini-movies which will present the group meeting up in present day. Additionally, the men of Rory’s life are reportedly set to show up — Logan, Jess and Dean — so we can all hope there will be a wedding of some sort going down.
More than anything, we’re dying to find out what four words are. And yes, they will be revealed. Now of course AS-P didn’t actually do the final seasons of Gilmore Girls, so she’s probably very eager to give it the ending she wanted. When the cast reunited at ATX TV Festival over the summer, Lauren Graham revealed she did not want to be told the last four words — the only way she wanted to find them out was if she’s “saying or listening to someone in the show saying them.”
Agreed! Are you excited for Gilmore Girls revival on Netflix, HollywoodLifers? Let us know!
