Lamar Odom has made the difficult decision to open up about his emotional and painful story on the next season of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians!’ A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY why Lamar decided to open up on the reality show.
Since Khloe Kardashian, 31, has been guarding Lamar Odom, 35, so carefully, we thought we may never hear his version of what happened at the Love Ranch. But a source now tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Lamar has decided to share his heartbreaking ordeal on KUWTK. Here is what we know! Something like what Lamar has been going through is tough to talk about. Addiction, depression, and the sex industry are not easy topics, but Lamar seems to have made the very hard and very brave decision to share his story first-hand with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians audience.
“Slowly but surely, Lamar’s coming to terms with his reality and wrapping his head around the totality of his near death experience,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He knows he escaped death. He doesn’t want this to happen to himself again or to anyone else for that matter – which is why he’s on board with his entire situation being filmed and recorded for ‘KUWTK.'”
Even before his own brush with death, Lamar has had a really heartbreaking year. In June alone Lamar lost two best friends: Jamie Sangouthai and Bobby Heyward. Both of them died of drug-related causes. “He owes it himself, to Khloe but more importantly, he owes this to Jamie and Bobby,” says the insider. “They weren’t so lucky. They’re not able to tell their stories about addiction. Lamar is. And he wants to help educate people and show them the mistakes and horrible choices he’s made so that people learn from him.” How brave!
As to why Lamar would choose KUWTK as his platform, HollywoodLife.com was told EXCLUSIVELY “He thinks the show would be an excellent platform to that with the hopes of preventing viewers from traveling down the path he did.” We can’t believe that after everything he’s been through, his main concern is helping others. Lamar truly has a heart of gold, and we can’t wait to hear his story.
