This is so sad! Five months after a romantic proposal on live TV, ‘Dancing With The Stars’ contestant Noah Galloway and Jamie Boyd have officially called off their engagement. The couple announced their split on Instagram on Oct. 26 — See their heartfelt messages here.
We definitely did not see this coming. Former Dancing With The Stars contestant Noah Galloway, 33, and his fiancee Jamie Boyd have decided to go their separate ways just five months after becoming engaged on live TV. Although it’s sad to hear that the loving couple have decided to cut ties, the two have assured fans that they will remain friends down the road. Find out more of the shocking split details here.
The former DWTS contestant announced on October 26 that the couple had decided to officially call off their engagement just five months after their romantic proposal. “After long and careful consideration we’ve decided to end our engagement,” Noah captioned an Instagram photo of him and Jamie on the beach. “We love each other deeply and we’re confident we will remain friends. While we wanted to share this you, we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”
Jamie simultaneously posted a red carpet photo of the now-exes with a similar comment. “We can’t thank you enough for all your unwavering love and support. It has meant, and means, so much to us so we wanted to share this with you firsthand,” she wrote via Instagram. “This is a very difficult time and we appreciate y’all for respecting our privacy as we go through this.”
Our hearts go out to Noah and Jamie. The couple looked head-over-heels in love when Noah proposed to the Army Reserves specialist during a live show of the ABC dancing competition in May 2015. Noah — who lost his two left limbs in 2005 from a bomb blast in Iraq — finished Season 20 in third place with his pro partner Sharna Burgess. “The day I met her, I knew that this was going to be somebody I was going to ask to marry me,” Noah told Us Weekly at the time. “She’s really made me a better person because of who she is and what she stands for.”
Sadly, it was just this past June that the couple opened up to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, revealing their plans for a fall wedding. We want a fall wedding,” Noah told us. “We’ve had a lot of offers out in California but we don’t want anything too big. We want to be in Alabama, maybe on a farm. Probably some country wedding.”
Noah is twice divorced and shares three children — sons Colston and Jack, and daughter Rian Elizabeth — with his ex-wife Tracey.
