Is Gwen Stefani finally ready to put her relationship with Gavin Rossdale behind her? The couple is close to finalizing their divorce and a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that the ‘therapeutic’ process has made Gwen feel like she’s finally ready to move on with her life.
It looks like this is officially the end of the road for Gwen Stefani, 45, and Gavin Rossdale. It’s been over two months since the rock stars announced their shocking split, and it appears that their divorce case is now finally coming to a close. Heartbreaking though this may be to the once happy couple, a source tells HollywoodLife.com that the situation has actually been very “therapeutic” for the No Doubt singer, who’s used the experience to move on from her ex — for good!
“Gwen is very, very happy that the divorce is going as civil as possible,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It was heartbreaking and is still heartbreaking going through this whole process, but the fact that Gavin has been very adult in settling everything between the two and really been a man about it has been very therapeutic for Gwen’s healing. She looks at this easy divorce with little drama being the best possible scenario to finally move on with her life.”
Being a famous musician, it comes as no surprise to learn that Gwen has also used the power of music to help her recover from her heartbreak. The mother-of-three debuted her emotional new ballad, “Used to Love You” while performing in New York on October 17, and let’s just say, there’s no question as to who the lyrics are about. The song describes a life-changing split that leaves Gwen crushed, as her guy “pulls out the driveway” and leaves her behind. At one point, Gwen even sings: “I thought I was the best thing that ever happened to you/I thought you loved me the most/I don’t know why I cry/But I think it’s cause I remembered for the first time/Since I hated you/That I used to love you.” So sad!
Thankfully, Gwen has had the support of her Voice co-star Blake Shelton, 39, to help get her through it all. Still, while the two have definitely enjoyed flirting with each other on the set of The Voice, they continue to deny any sort of romance. “They aren’t dating, they aren’t getting married,” an insider revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “They are friends who happen to be going through divorce. They are doing fine, but they aren’t doing each other.”
