Donald Trump plan to fight ISIS in Syria: bomb ‘the hell’ out of them, just like Russian president Vladimir Putin! During the Oct. 26 episode of the ‘Today’ Show, Donald threw his support behind Russia’s airstrikes in Syria while calling President Barack Obama ‘stupid’ and ‘incompetent.’
Give Donald Trump, 69, a microphone and the Republican presidential candidate will give you an opinion, often trashing President Barack Obama, 54, at the same time. While Donald has no love for Barack, it seems he wants to be BFFs with Russia’s Vladimir Putin, 63. When asked what President Trump would do to fight ISIS in Syria, Donald said the U.S. should follow Vlad’s example and bomb ISIS to smithereens!
Donald shared a little bit of his administration’s foreign policy while appearing on the Oct. 26 episode of TODAY. During a Twitter Q&A session, Donald was asked what he thought about Russia launching air strikes in the Middle East. “If Russia wants to go into Syria and bomb the hell out of ISIS,” Donald said, “I’m sort of okay with that.”
Donald also once again insulted the U.S. president and Congress, calling them both “stupid” and “incompetent.” That’s not the first time he’s called Obama an idiot. In fact, this wasn’t the first time Donald has talked about Syria. On Sept. 30, Donald spoke about the thousands of Syrians fleeing the country’s civil war as well as the rise of ISIS. While Barack Obama said the U.S. would take in 10,000 refugees, Donald said that if elected, he would kick them out of the U.S. and send them back to the country they were trying to escape!
As one of the Republican frontrunners, Donald should be careful when supporting Russian airstrikes in Syria, since they weren’t actually bombing ISIS, according to CNBC. Since 2011, Syria has been in a brutal civil war between President Bashar al-Assad and rebels who want the alleged dictator to leave. Russia backs Bashar, but U.S. has supported efforts to oust the Syrian president, even reportedly training some of the rebels, reports the Telegraph.
As Bashar and the rebels were fighting each other, ISIS took advantage of the chaos to rise to power. Putin finally agreed to help fight the terrorist organization. However, when the Russian airstrikes began at the start of October, they were targeting the US trained rebels instead of the terrorists. Maybe Donald should think twice before he starts trusting the Russian president?
What do you think about Donald’s statement, HollywoodLifers? Do you agree with his support of Russia bombing “the hell” out of ISIS in Syria? Or do you think he shouldn’t support Putin?
