This is terrifying! Bello Sanchez, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, suffered a number of serious injuries in the early morning hours of October 26 after being involved in a horrifying car accident, according to a new report. The 26-year-old model reportedly fell asleep at the wheel while attempting to make his way home after a late-night after party. We hope he’s okay!
The ANTM contestant was driving home around 3 a.m. on Monday, October 26, after dropping a friend off from an after-party when the accident happened, he told TMZ. Bello reportedly fell asleep at the wheel, causing his car to drift into another vehicle. Unfortunately, the model was not wearing his seatbelt at the time, which caused him to hit his head on the windshield, cracking it. Bello claims he suffered a concussion, several cuts on his forehead and damage to his right arm and shoulder, which was all documented in photos taken from the crash site. At this point, no charges have been filed against him.
Bello, appears in Cycle 22 of Tyra Banks‘ famous modeling reality show. Known for his striking crystal blue eyes, Bello decided to move to Los Angeles at just 19-years-old to pursue a career in modeling, People reports. With just $200 to his name, he ended up living in the Skid Row area of L.A., working temp jobs for several years before packing his bags and taking a road trip around the country, attending as many Top Model castings as possible. Fortunately, Bello did eventually make it onto the show, finishing in eighth place. The show’s series finale will air on December 4 at 9pm ET/PT on CW.
We’re so glad that Bello seems to be doing OK after the accident. HollywoodLifers, help us send good wishes to Bello at this time.
