What a duet! When Tori Kelly and Andrea Bocelli collaborated for an incredible performance of ‘Just Give Me A Reason’ at the MTV EMAs on Oct. 25, they blew everyone away with some powerhouse vocals!
Tori Kelly, 22, has already established herself as one of the hottest new ladies in music. But after she took the MTV EMA stage with pop opera singer, Andrea Bocelli, 57, on Oct. 25, she proved she’s here to stay! The two sang a rendition of Pink and Nate Ruess‘ song, “Just Give Me A Reason,” and it was unbelievable!
Tori and Andrea’s voices worked perfectly together, with Andrea providing low harmonies to Tori’s majorly high notes. Andrea played piano for their beautiful duet, and the audience clearly loved the whole thing — they gave Tori and Andrea a roaring standing ovation at the end!
Along with the incredible vocals, Tori and Andrea looked amazing on stage. Tori stunned in a gold pantsuit while Andrea looked dapper himself in a tuxedo. But their singing was all we needed to be convinced that the performance was unreal!
Before taking the stage with Andrea, Tori blew the audience away with her hit, “Should’ve Been Us.” She also threw in a medley of throwback songs, including TLC‘s “No Scrubs,” Mary J. Blige‘s “Real Love,” and The Fugees’ “Ready Or Not.” She teamed up with Andrea after he sang one of his classics, which made for quite the combination of tunes. As much as we loved their individual performances, we can’t get over how awesome they sounded together!
Tori’s EMA appearance comes just two months after she made her VMA debut with an awesome performance of her hit “Should’ve Been Us.” She rocked on the guitar in that performance, so it was fun to see her in a different element by adding a piano touch!
A few days before Tori took the stage with Andrea, she released her new single “Hollow,” which shows off her powerful voice the same way her performance did! Tori also released a version of the Pocahontas classic, “Colors of the Wind,” for the We Love Disney cover album, and that was nothing short of amazing too! Is there anything Tori can’t do? We certainly don’t think so!
What did you think of Tori and Andrea’s performance, HollywoodLifers? Do their voices work well together? Tell us below!
