Oh no! Val Kilmer was rushed to the hospital on Oct. 22 and was reportedly barely able to speak while getting treatment. Get a health update from the actor himself here.
Val Kilmer is not in good shape, according to a new report. The 55-year-old was treated in the hospital on Oct. 22, but took to Facebook to assure fans that everything is going to be okay. Read his message here.
The Top Gun star checked into the hospital under the alias “Oscar Davis,” Radar Online reports. The site’s source claims he had IVs, a tracheotomy tube and many other machines attached to his body as he was rolled into the ICU. Doctors are allegedly discussing “comfort care” as the actor is reportedly fighting for his life.
Val caught wind of this horrible report, though, and made sure to reveal what was really going on on Facebook. “Thank you all for your love and support,” he wrote. “There’s a rumor I’m unwell again and in hospital which is totally untrue. I was in to verify I have no tumor or infection of any kind which was verified by the very caring experts at UClA.”
Unfortunately, Val is no stranger to sudden medical problems. He was rushed to UCLA Medical Center in January, and his rep confirmed that he underwent tests for a possible throat tumor. It was rumored that he decided not to seek treatment based on his religious beliefs, but Val has repeatedly denied it.
“Again, no tumor, no surgery,” he wrote on Facebook. “Will stay close to my doctors advising, my family and my Christian Science practitioner when all the facts are in.” However, he has been photographed looking quite weak and has lost a noticeable amount of weight since then, so fans are understandably worried about his health.
Interesting to add, too, is that Val has been seen wearing scarves constantly, making sure to cover up his throat and neck region any time he’s seen out in public. We hope everything really is okay!
