You know you thought about it. The minute that Adele picked up the phone and said ‘Hello,’ you thought of ‘Is it me your looking for?’ No, you didn’t? Well, watch this mashup video.
The world — us included — has been freaking out over Adele‘s “Hello” song and music video that dropped on Oct. 23. However, now there is a mashup video featuring Lionel Richie‘s 1984 hit song, “Hello,” and it pretty much changes everything. Move over, Tristan Wilds, now Adele’s hanging up on Lionel!
I mean, this totally works. The lighting in the music videos are identical, they’re both on landlines at the beginning, and Lionel and Adele are both crazy talented, Grammy winners! We have to give credit where credit is due and thank BlendTV for making this epic mashup. Get Adele’s ’25’ Here!
This was Adele’s first studio release since her 2011 album 21. The music video already has over six million views. When she announced the album on Instagram, she shared a long message to fans. “My last album was a break-up record, and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record,” she said. “I making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did.”
Needless to say, fans and celebrities all over were tweeting and posting to Instagram about their love for Adele. Two of our favorites went to Kate Hudson and Katy Perry who were driven to tears by her new song. Adele’s new album, 25, is out Nov. 20. Are you obsessed?
