Ouch! San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s aim was definitely off during the Oct. 22 game against the Seattle Seahawks. He overshot a throw and instead of hitting an open receiver, he nailed a sideline trainer in the face! Click to watch.
We have to wonder which hurt more: Colin Kaepernick, 27, and his San Francisco 49ers losing 20-3 to the Seattle Seahawks, or him nailing a guy in the face with a football. It’s a shame that the sideline trainer wasn’t an open receiver. Colin and the 49ers might have actually won that game!
Colin is the 25th-most accurate quarterback in the NFL, reports CBS Sports. That’s not good and Colin proved why he’s rated so low during the Oct. 22 match against the Seahawks. In the first quarter of the game, he threw the ball out-of-bounds, accidentally drilling a 49ers staff member in the head!
That’s gotta hurt. It did, according to reporter Janie McCauley, who said that the trainer had to be looked at after that crash. But, as bad as it might have been for that innocent bystander, it was worse for Colin. He went 13-of 24 attempts for just 124 yards during the game. He was even sacked six times, so and he didn’t really have a chance to successfully throw the ball. After this blow out, Colin is 1-6 against Seattle, reports Deadspin. On top of all that, Colin was attacked by a giant dragonfly while he was on the field, according to SportsGrid. It seemed like even Mother Nature was a Seahawks fan that night.
Though both teams had 2-4 records going into this game, the 49ers looked like they could not hold a candle to the Seahawks. Bummer. Maybe they can get their head in the game (without nailing anyone in the head with any more footballs) and end the season on a positive note.
Maybe Colin can join Alex Rodriguez in working out their aiming issues? Though A-Rod is known as a baseball legend with the New York Yankees, he played football in both high school and college. While debuting as a sports commentator for Fox Sports, he was asked to toss the pigskin around. Just like Colin, A-Rod over shot his throw. Instead of nailing an innocent person in the face, Alex ended up smashing a television screen! Yikes!
Do you think the 49ers can turn it around and possibly make the playoffs, HollywoodLifers? Or do you think that the Colin and the Niners are all done for this season?
