Adele is back and better than ever! The singer announced a new album is on the way, then quickly followed up with the music video for her new single, ‘Hello,’ with a killer beauty look for good measure. Find out how you can copy her lined eye makeup look, below!
Okay, so in case you missed it, Adele just released her new single alongside the video for “Hello,” and even in black and white, there’s no denying she’s got the most perfect cat eye makeup around. She teased the cover art on her newly created Instagram on October 22, and her video look did not disappoint.
To get the look yourself, you could just go straight for the cat eye or create the full effect by lightly applying brown eyeshadow for a subtle smokey eye. Use one of the light brown shades from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics to sweep across your whole eyelid, then use one of the darker shades at your crease and towards the outer corner of your eye.
Now, onto the most important part, which requires a steady hand and even more patience. If you haven’t quite gotten the hang of liquid liner yet (or you just want to make this as quick and painless as possible), start by lining your upper lashline with a pencil like Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in Matte Black to get an even line across your lids with the subtlest flick at the outer corner. Follow up with a liquid liner like Almay over top, which won’t budge all day and is surprisingly easy to create even lines with.
Go back to the pencil and use that along your lower lashline to create the faintest line of color and blend along your lashline to soften it even more. Finish by curling your lashes and adding a coat of Ciaté Triple Shot Mascara in Black, which has flexible, comb-like bristles that let you easily brush from the root to tip of your lashes, giving you a fanned out look like Adele’s.
