Vin Diesel wanted his daughter to learn martial arts, so rather than send her to some ordinary karate school, he turned to pal Ronda Rousey, who’s now going to coach her! There’s nothing like having the top-ranked, undefeated Ultimate Fighting Champ teach his little girl some moves.
Vin Diesel, 48, is a very overprotective dad. So much so that he nabbed the world’s top female fighter to help coach his daughter Hania, 7, how to fight! Ronda Rousey, 28, first met Vin while they were filming The Fast & The Furious 7 and they became close pals. So when he wanted Hania to learn martial art skills, it was the UFC’s reigning champ, Ronda, who stepped in. It sounds awesome, and Vin loves it, but he also fears he’s creating a “beast” out of his daughter!
“First of all, I feel sorry for anyone that has to (date my daughter). I wouldn’t want that on my worst enemy because I’m just that kind of dad. I’ve been thinking about this since the day I cut the umbilical cord, and because of that, I made a decision early on that I was going to do everything in my power to empower her to handle it herself” he recently shared with WENN.
“Because of her ‘auntie’ Ronda Rousey, she is now an orange belt with stripes in judo. I’m dealing with it early. I’m creating a beast, and I want her to be able to say ‘No means no,'” he revealed. Wow, in this case it’s truly nothing but the best for Hania. Ronda is the undefeated UFC Bantamweight champ and regarded as the best female fighter in the world!
Ronda recently revealed the following about her undefeated status: “It’s motivating, because it’s something I have to keep earning. When I was a kid, all I did was train. I never went to a dance, I never had a date, I never went to a single party. Training was my whole life, and it was because I wanted to be able to win the Olympics more than I wanted to go to the movies with my friends. It’s funny, because people get offended by the mind-set that it takes to be the best.”
Rowdy Ronda’s looking to defend her title and extend her 12-0 streak on Nov. 14 against Holly Holm. It will be the first time she steps into the Octagon since Aug. 1 in Rio de Janeiro, when she slayed Brazilian fighter Bethe Correia with a knockout just 34 seconds into the match! The fight will be held in Melbourne, Australia’s Etihad Stadium, which seats 90,000. Organizers say the fight will break an all-time attendance record for an MMA event!
