Taylor Swift’s latest surprise guest on her ‘1989’ tour might be her best yet! The singer brought Miranda Lambert out for an amazing performance of her hit ‘Little Red Wagon’ in Greensboro on Oct. 21, and it’s seriously giving us MAJOR friendship goals. Watch here!
Miranda Lambert, 31, surprised excited fans in Greensboro, North Carolina on Oct. 21 when she joined Taylor Swift, 25, on stage for one of the most epic collaborations of all time. The ladies totally rocked out to the country singer’s 2015 hit “Little Red Wagon,” and the girl power was in SERIOUS full force. Check it out!
The recently-divorced southern gal looked beyond incredible in tight black pants and a handmade ‘1989’ tank top during the upbeat performance. Both ladies got really into the anthemic song, and Miranda seemed to have a totally amazing time performing for the sold-out crowd. “You are bad ass!” she wrote to Taylor on Twitter. “Amazing show! #inspired.”
Even though the 25-year-old made a complete transition to pop music on her 2014 album, she’s still kept up with the world of country music, and has tons of friends in the genre. Besides Miranda, she’s also welcomed country acts like Keith Urban, Sam Hunt, Kelsea Ballerini, The Band Perry and more. Could this mean she’ll be transitioning back to her roots for a future album?! We wouldn’t hate it!
We’ve totally been living for all of the “Wildest Dreams” singer’s surprise guests during this tour, but unfortunately, it won’t be long before it comes to an end. The U.S. dates wrap up by the end of October, and then, after a few weeks in Asia and Australia, the whole tour will be complete in mid-December. AND Taylor even admitted she’s planning to step out of the spotlight — and possibly not even write new music — for a bit once the year is over.
Meanwhile, Miranda just finished her own tour, and will be hitting the road with Kenny Chesney next summer for a major arena takeover. But with her divorce from Blake Shelton still fresh, she’ll definitely have a lot of material to write about if she works on a new album during this downtime!
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of Taylor and Miranda’s performance? Which 1989 tour guest has been your favorite so far?
