Do we finally have our Super Bowl 50 halftime show performer? Maroon 5 is the latest act to be rumored to hitting the stage during intermission of the huge game in 2016 — how epic would that be?!
Maroon 5 is reportedly in talks to perform at the 2016 Super Bowl! Several acts have been rumored to be taking the stage, but with this being SB 50, it’s no surprise that those behind the scenes are trying to bring out the best of the best. Get the latest scoop on what might go down here!
The band, which features lead singer Adam Levine, has allegedly been having “extensive talks” about being the halftime performers, according to E!. The site claims that M5 is currently the frontrunner to be chosen, although acts like Coldplay and Bruno Mars have also been making negotiations. Interestingly, Bruno just performed at the show in 2014, so it would be a very quick comeback for him.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, One Direction, Taylor Swift and Britney Spears have also been in talks to take the big stage, so it definitely seems like things are still really up in the air at this point. The most epic solution of all, of course, would be to have all these acts come together for one giants collaboration performance — I mean, come on…it’s Super Bowl 50! It’s time to pull out all the stops, guys!
Katy Perry performed at the 2015 show, and it was pretty darn epic, so whoever does take over this year has big shoes to fill. The big game is happening on Feb. 7, 2016 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif and will be broadcast on CBS.
HollywoodLifers, would you want Maroon 5 to perform at the Super Bowl?
