Hairstylist Marcus Francis shared his how-to for getting Kerry’s faux bob, which is surprisingly simple for such a statement-making look.
1) Marcus says the faux bob works best when your hair has more texture. So if your hair is on the thinner side work in a volumizing spray that will give your hair grip like Garnier Fructis De-Constructed Texture Tease before you even get started.
2) Pull your hair into a low ponytail and once secured, slide the elastic down a few inches so the top of your hair is looser.
3) Roll the hair in your ponytail under, using bobby pins to secure the hair in place.

Though Marcus’ pic of Kerry was a major TBT to a look he created for her in 2012, the style is one Kerry has worn several times since and can be dressed up for formal events or worn with more casual looks. And if you have layers, Marcus says the faux bob will look even better since it adds a more natural, choppy effect.
