Poor Drake! He just can’t catch a break. After fans mocked his dance moves from the ‘Hotline Bling’ video, Trevor Noah dissed the rapper hard on the Oct. 20 episode of ‘The Daily Show,’ saying his horrific dancing is going to get mixed race individuals’ black statuses revoked!
Ouch! Daily Show host Trevor Noah just blasted Drake on the Oct. 20 episode of the late night talk show, saying he’s an embarrassment to the mixed race community. The host was referencing Drake’s new music video for “Hotline Bling,” which showcases the rapper’s questionable dancing skills. Trevor, who is also mixed race, thinks Drake is going to get their black statuses revoked.
“Huge news coming out of Canada last night,” Trevor said at the start of his show Tuesday evening. He then played a clip of Drake’s new video and said, “What the hell, Drake? What the actual hell were you doing there? What were those dance moves?” He continued, “Do you know how hard we’ve worked to be called black? And then you do this to us, Drake! You’re going to get our black status revoked.”
“What were those moves? I hope this was a joke,” he added.
Aww. Poor Drake. We think he looked sexy in the “Hotline Bling” video, but unfortunately, not everyone though so. As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, following the Oct. 19 release of Drake’s new music video, fans created dozens of super funny memes that make it look like the rapper’s dancing to songs from Justin Bieber, Beyonce, and even the theme from The Cosby Show, instead of his own song. They’re pretty funny, and luckily, Drake isn’t taking the jokes personally.
“At first, Drake was mad and then looked at the bigger picture and realized that people are going to actually watch the video and listen to the song and then hopefully buy it. That is always the ultimate goal. So if people are talking about his dancing being good or bad and it leads to record sales, then he is all for it,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
