An innocent little girl was shot and killed in her car during a highway road-rage incident. The four-year-old was on a road in Albuquerque with her parents when the horrific scene went down. Sadly, the suspect is still at large. So awful.
A precious four-year-old girl is a victim of a disgusting road-rage incident. A unidentified suspect pulled their car up beside her parent’s vehicle on Oct. 20 and started firing rounds into the car. The police are asking anyone to come forward with information, because they have zero suspects in mind.
“This should have never happened. This is a complete disrespect of human life,” Albuquerque Police Chief Gorden Eden told reporters, according to NBC News. He continued by pleading for anyone with any information about the horrific incident to please speak up. “We have absolutely no suspect information at this time. We are in desperate need of information to help us resolve the conflicting information we’re getting right now.”
“The dad explained there was some type of road rage incident. A car pulled up beside them and started firing rounds into the car,” Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Officer Simon Drobik told KOB.
Police Chief Gorden also mentioned that the highway was crowded with traffic at the time of the deadly shooting. “We know that people had to have been witnesses.” The young girl’s parents were in the car, but no one else was hurt, police said.
“To me, this is one of those crimes which is unexplainable. There is no way to explain your way out of this,” the Police Chief stated. “It’s 100 percent preventable. It did not have to happen, and we need to rise up as a community and say ‘enough is enough.'”
Anyone with information is asked to call 505-242-COPS. Our hearts go out to this little girl’s family.
