Drake showed off some pretty meme-worthy dance moves in his new video for ‘Hotline Bling,’ so it should come as no surprise that Instagram sensation Doug the Pug has since taken on the video with his own hilarious (and totally adorable) parody. Click here to watch!
Since dropping the music video for his hit single “Hotline Bling” on Oct. 19, Drake’s, 28, quirky dance moves have been turned into what is essentially Internet gold. At this point, the turtleneck-wearing rapper has been spoofed, parodied, and turned into a meme by just about everyone and yet, who would have guessed that the best was still yet to come. Social media sensation Doug the Pug was the latest to unleash his inner Drake in a hilarious new Instagram video that sees the adorable pooch taking center stage in the steamy video. Prepare for cuteness overload!
Doug the Pug has mimicked everyone from Justin Bieber, 21, to Taylor Swift, 25, and on Oct. 21 he made Drake his latest victim with a hilarious new Instagram video. Dressed in a dark curly wig and a plethora of Drizzy-approved sweaters, Doug inserts himself into the futuristic-style video where he can be seen showing off a few of his own dance moves all the while starring up at the rapper with those giant watery brown eyes. So cute! “We all dance like Drake when we’re drunk,” read the video’s caption.
How Drake Really Felt About Fans Mocking His Dance Moves
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, fans created literally dozens of incredibly hilarious memes that made it look like Drake was dancing to songs from Justin Bieber, Beyonce, and more, instead of his own song. (Our personal favorite however, is the Spongebob Squarepants parody vine). While all publicity may be good publicity, Drake wasn’t exactly thrilled with how his video was being received — at least not at first anyways.
“At first, Drake was mad and then looked at the bigger picture and realized that people are going to actually watch the video and listen to the song and then hopefully buy it. That is always the ultimate goal. So if people are talking about his dancing being good or bad and it leads to record sales, then he is all for it,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
We can understand why Drake was upset about fans’ reactions at first, but we’re happy he sees the bigger picture. The more people talk about “Hotline Bling,” the more likely it is to earn him his first number one single on Billboard’s Hot 100 List — a feat he has somehow miraculously yet to achieve. In the meantime, we highly suggest you put Doug’s video on loop as it’s likely the cutest thing you’ll see all day!
