So scary! 91-year-old Bob Barker was hospitalized on Oct. 20 after falling near his Hollywood Hills home and slicing his head open on the sidewalk. Get the latest on his condition here.
Bob Barker, 91, took a nasty tumble while on a walk during the morning of Oct. 20 — and it scarily landed him in the hospital. The former Price Is Right host suffered a bad head injury from the fall, and we have the latest update on his condition.
Bob was simply taking a walk right around his Hollywood Hills home when he tripped and slammed his head on the concrete. Luckily, police officers were right near by and saw the whole thing go down, according to TMZ. They helped stabilize the 91-year-old until paramedics showed up to the scene.
The lovable game show host has a 1.5 inch laceration on the right side of his head and also did some damage to his knee, the site claims. But, don’t worry — it seems he’s doing okay. Less than one day later, he’s already been released from the hospital, and is getting rest at home while recovering.
Bob is lucky to be in “stable condition” after his spill, according to People. “He is resting at home and doing okay,” Bob’s rep told Entertainment Tonight. “He works out every day and is disappointed that he’ll have to take a little break until he heals.”
It’s great that Bob is able to stay so active, especially at his age, but we hope he takes it easy for a while as he recovers from this scary injury! Even though he hasn’t worked on The Price is Right since 2007, Bob has remained busy, and has spent a lot of time fighting for animal rights over the last several years.
