With a 12-0 record, UFC Champion Ronda Rousey is the best fighter in the world — and she makes winning look good. The athlete covers the November 2015 issue of ‘Self’ magazine, where she shows off her amazing physique and opens up about her unbeatable record.
Ronda Rousey, 28, is proud of her unbeatable record — especially because it didn’t come easy. The amazing athlete candidly talks about her success in Self magazine, all while showing off her toned figure. “It’s motivating, because it’s something I have to keep earning. When I was a kid, all I did was train. I never went to a dance, I never had a date, I never went to a single party. Training was my whole life, and it was because I wanted to be able to win the Olympics more than I wanted to go to the movies with my friends. It’s funny, because people get offended by the mind-set that it takes to be the best,” she says of her record.
Ronda’s position didn’t come easy — and she won’t let anyone take it away from her. “If I say that I’m the best in the world, sometimes people think that’s really cocky and arrogant, but I had to work hard to be able to believe in myself. In your teens, you start to become super self-conscious. I had to build that up,” she explains.
The UFC champion wouldn’t call herself a badass, but it’s a title she certainly doesn’t mind! “I like being given that label, but I wouldn’t give it to myself,” she says, all while defining the term. “Someone who’s willing to do what needs to be done. There are plenty of times where people know and they don’t do it—because it’s not comfortable or easy. If you do what’s right regardless of how it’s going to make you look, then you’re really a badass.”
