Move over Taylor Swift! Selena Gomez may be a member of the ‘Bad Blood’ singer’s famous squad but if her latest Twitter exchange is any indication, then she may be on her way to starting her own girl gang — without Tay!
Get ready, because the Sel Squad is coming! Selena Gomez, 23, may be a card-carrying member of Taylor Swift’s A-list squad, but by the looks of her latest Twitter exchange, she may be about to head up her very own girl gang — without Taylor! And if that weren’t all exciting enough, it appears the “Good For You” songstress already has two very famous singers on board and unsurprisingly, they’re all about the girl power! If Selena Gomez’s latest Twitter exchange with Demi Lovato, 23, and Ariana Grande, 22, is any indication, then we may have just discovered the world’s next great girls gang! The singers hinted at the possible new squad while exchanging loving tweets on Oct. 17, seemingly raising the bar on friendship goals everywhere! The love fest started when Ariana took to Twitter to share her excitement over Demi’s new album, Confident, which was released one day earlier. “Had to hit up @DDLovato last night and text her a bunch of ‘yaaaas’es and ‘werrrrrrrk’s because of these vocals on #confident!” the “Break Free” singer tweeted. “You diiiiiiiiiiiid that!”
The “Cool for the Summer” singer immediately saw Ariana’s sweet message, retweeted it, and responded with her own heartfelt tweet. “It always means a lot coming from you girly @ArianaGrande,” Demi tweeted. “Love you tons and I can’t wait for #FOCUS!!” she continued, referring to Ariana’s upcoming album.
But the fan-girling didn’t stop there. Ariana made sure to send some love toward Selena’s way with a tweet praising her recently released album, Revival. “And while we’re on the topic of new music, I have to mention #REVIVAL is so effing good @SelenaGomez!” she wrote. “I’m in love. I love nothing more than seeing young women doing what they love and kicking ass at it.” Selena then responded, writing, “AMEN,” with three heart emojis.
We absolutely love how supportive these three women are of each other and their respective work. While there may be some bad blood between the industry’s other leading female artists, we’re happy to see that these three talented singers aren’t letting their competing albums get in the way of their positive friendship. Now that’s some serious #SquadGoals!
