How horrific! An Aer Lingus flight had to make an emergency landing on Oct. 18 after an ‘extremely violent’ man bit another passenger and then proceeded to pass away after being restrained by the in-flight crew.
A 25-year-old man died after he ran amok on an Aer Lingus flight to Dublin, Ireland on the evening of Oct. 18 and bit another passenger. The “extremely violent” man was restrained by the in-flight crew and strangely passed away not too long after that, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing.
“The flight was diverted to Cork airport when the man on board became agitated,” Ireland’s national police, An Garda Siochana, said in a statement. He was attended to by a doctor and nurse who were on the flight but was pronounced dead at the airport at 6:40 p.m.” It is being reported that the 25-year-old passenger, who was traveling alone, began “bitting another passenger” before he was subdued by the the in-flight crew.
Once the pilot was informed about the “extremely violent” man onboard, they requested clearance to make an emergency pitstop at Cork airport. Unfortunately, it was too late. The “agitated” passenger then became unwell after being contained by the crew and proceeded to fall into a state of unconsciousness. While he apparently received help from a doctor on board, he was later declared dead by the paramedics that arrived on the scene.
The passenger who received a hand injury after being bitten by the deceased was taken to the hospital after the emergency landing. The flight carried 168 passengers and six crew members who were promptly taken off the plane and into the airport. Local authorities are still investigating the strange incident. A woman onboard who allegedly had amphetamines on the same flight was arrested by Ireland’s national police. As of right now, it is unclear if the two incident are connected.
HollywoodLifers, what would you do in that scary situation?
