With Lamar Odom slowly inching towards a recovery, his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, has been by his side, watching his progress. We have learned EXCLUSIVELY that it’s been such an intense experience for Khloe, that it has bordered on ‘surreal.’

Khloe Kardashian, 31, has basically not left the side of her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, 35, since he was found unconscious and hospitalized on Oct. 13. Miraculously, Lamar is said to be doing bettergetting taken off life support and breathing on his own. For Khloe, it’s been an unimaginable journey, to say the least. In fact, a source EXCLUSIVELY revealed to us that seeing Lamar go through all of this has been the emotional equivalent of a “seesaw ride.”

“Witnessing Lamar trying to come back to life was the closest Khloe’s ever felt to giving birth,” a source explained to us EXCLUSIVELY. “Seeing his chest move up and down, him trying to fight his way back to life, has to be the most surreal experience of Khloe’s life,” they added.

The fact that Lamar’s recovery was– and still is– in serious doubt, makes his apparent improvement all that much more emotional for Khloe. “Doctors were telling her from the beginning the odds were against Lamar but she feels Lamar heard them and is fighting desperately to prove them wrong,” the source added. “This is one emotional seesaw ride Khloe’s on. She’s hoping Lamar fully comes through so she can get off this up and down ride.”

Though Lamar is now expected to survive, his journey to recovery will be long and arduous. However, Khloe plans to be at his side, through every up and down. “Doctors are telling Lamar’s friends and family rehabilitation will take many months, and they believe an undetermined amount of damage to his body will be permanent… [and Khloe] has vowed to stay with him through the entire ordeal.” reports TMZ.

So much bravery being shown here. We are sending Khloe and Lamar all the positive energy in the world.
