We’ve been waiting four years for new Adele music… and it sounds like it was WORTH THE WAIT. During a commercial break on the UK’s The X-Factor, we got a listen of what sounds like Adele singing a brand new song and we’re totally freaking out. Listen here.
Four years after our hearts melted from listening to Adele‘s album, 21, we’re finally getting some new music. You guys, brace yourselves for some seriously sweet sounds of what we can assume is Adele’s next album, 25. On Oct. 18, fans were shocked when the screen went black during The X-Factor, and lyrics popped up on screen, with the singer’s gorgeous voice. It’s safe to assume we’re hearing the first bit of 25.

Here are the very emotional lyrics: “It’s me. I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet to go over everything. They say that time’s supposed to heal ya, but I ain’t done much healing.”
Of course, there have been reports that we’ll be getting Adele’s first album in four years soon, but any details of the release have been completely under wraps. Maybe her team just wants us to be surprised? However, after the major success of 21, which produced multiple hits, we’re so eager to hear new music!
Even Ed Sheeran spoke about it on an interview. “I haven’t heard [Adele’s album], but everyone I know who’ve worked on it is just like, ‘Dude… that record,’” Ed told Capital UK. “Apparently, it’s really good.” Shop Adele’s ’21’ on Amazon.
Adele’s also been really quiet on social media, but in July, she did post a photo of herself freaking out with the one and only Bette Midler, writing, “@BetteMidler I love that you posted the pic of me holding it together. When this is really what happened… X.”
Though Adele’s music has been on hold since 21, she’s been super busy elsewhere — the singer, now 27, gave birth to a son, Angelo, in Oct. 2012 with charity entrepreneur Simon Konecki. The couple has been engaged since 2011.
Ok, we need to hear this whole album ASAP. Do you love it, HollywoodLifers? Let us know!
