Just because Lamar Odom miraculously woke up from his coma on Oct. 16, doesn’t mean he’s out of the woods just yet. But his family is ‘cautiously optimistic,’ HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned. And at this time, there are no signs of permanent damage.
After waking up from his coma on Oct. 16, Lamar Odom has been taken off his ventilator and seen engaging in “joyful” moments with his kids, but doctors are still keeping a watchful eye on the former NBA player as anything could happen. However, his family is “cautiously optimistic” about his condition.
“So far, Lamar seems to be functioning normally without any signs of major mental or physical damage. It’s still early, but everyone is cautiously optimistic,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. This is the best news we’ve heard in a long time. His kids are likely ecstatic. And Khloe Kardashian — we can only imagine how happy she is right now. Especially because Lamar’s first words upon waking up were, “Hey, baby” — and they were directed at her. Lamar also gave her a thumbs up and then went back to sleep, a source revealed to E! News.
Perhaps it was the power of love that brought Lamar back to his family. “Khloe, Lamar Jr., Destiny and [his ex-wife], Liza all locked hand and formed a half-circle around Lamar’s bed,” a source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com. They then spoke to him, “one-by-one, telling Lamar how much they love him and want him to come back.” And then he came back! Isn’t that the most miraculous thing you’ve ever heard? We hope the power of prayer only continues to help Lamar over the next several days.
Our thoughts remain with Lamar and his loved ones during this difficult time. We hope he fully pulls through and recovers quickly.
