So much drama! Johnny Manziel had to answer to cops on Monday, Oct. 12, after a car ride with his girlfriend, Colleen Elizabeth Crowley, turned into a heated argument! The Cleveland Browns quarterback admitted that the two had been drinking earlier in the day, according to a police report.
NFL heartthrob Johnny Manziel, 22, and his girlfriend Colleen Elizabeth Crowley, a TCU student, had to speak with authorities after they apparently got into a serious argument during a drive earlier this week. It got so intense, in fact, that Colleen attempted to get out of the vehicle just as they got off a highway. Yikes!
Johnny admitted to police that he and his girlfriend had been drinking earlier in the day, but claims he was sober at the time of the fight, so the police didn’t charge him with a crime, a new report claims. This is still a worrisome sign for the talented young athlete!
In the police report, another driver said they were passed by a car, presumably Johnny‘s, on the shoulder going approximately 90 miles per hour! The same driver witnessed the car “cut over several lanes of (traffic) and begin to exit” the highway, according to ESPN. This witness also claims to have seen the driver’s arm around the passenger’s neck. What could have caused this scary scuffle?!
Colleen said that she threw Manziel‘s wallet out of the window because the football star had her cell phone and wouldn’t give it back. Manziel told police he was just using her cell to change the music in the car. So. Much. Drama. In fact, Colleen said, “Manziel pushed her head against the glass of the car,” according to the police report.
Earlier this year, Johnny checked into rehab for an unspecified treatment. Although this is a jarring turn of events, it doesn’t sound like the QB is going to miss any games as a result.
“We were aware of the situation. It is a matter that we take seriously and have expressed our concerns to Johnny directly. Those conversations will remain private and we will refrain from further comment at this time,” Browns General Manager Ray Farmer said in a statement.
“I know I would stop and check if I saw a couple arguing on the side of the road. It was embarrassing but not serious…,” Johnny tweeted on Friday concerning the altercation. Sure sounds serious to us!
