The Chicago Cubs are SO close to the 2015 World Series! If they can beat the New York Mets, they’ll advance to the MLB Championships — and if they do, they’ll have a special player on their team! Christopher Lloyd says he wants to throw the first pitch if the Cubs make it to the big game!
Now pitching for the Chicago Clubs: Doc Brown! In 1989, Back To The Future II said that when the year 2015 rolled around, the Cubs would be World Series champs. With that science fiction possibly becoming fact, Christopher Lloyd, 76, who portrayed one of the film’s stars, want to be on the field if the Cubs make it to the big game!

Christopher said it would be fun to throw out the first pitch if the Cubs make it to the MLB championships, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Maybe it’ll happen. We’ll see,” Christopher said, adding that “they have to get there first.”
For those who haven’t seen the time-travel adventure classic, Marty McFly (portrayed by Michael J. Fox) gets in trouble when he tries to gamble in the past, after he learns the Cubs win the 2015 World Series. The actual Cubs advanced to the National League Championship Series, beating the St. Louis Cardinals on Oct. 13. If the Cubs eliminate the New York Mets and make it to the MLB championship series, it would be awesome to see Doc pull up in the Delorean to make the first toss.
2015 has obviously been a big year for Back To The Future fans. Michael and Christopher returned as Marty and Doc, lending their voices to their iconic characters to the new Lego Dimensions game. And though there was supposed to be a Back To The Future musical opening in London this year, the production has been delayed to 2016, according to the Den of Geek. Perhaps they can borrow Doc’s time machine when they get everything ready?
Marty and Doc got back together for another epic Back To The Future reunion, as Christopher and Michael appeared in a new Toyota commercial. In it, they talked about what their legendary movie got right, like 3-D movies and fingerprint technology. The full video of Doc and Marty’s conversation will be revealed on Oct. 21, 2015 — the same day they went back to the future!
