In an EXCLUSIVE interview with HollywoodLife.com, Magic Johnson revealed he is praying for his friend, Lamar Odom, to ‘pull through’ from his heartbreaking comatose state.
Magic Johnson, 56, had nothing but kind things to say about former NBA player Lamar Odom, 35, when he spoke EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com on Wednesday night, Oct. 14 in Los Angels, California. Not only is the NBA legend keeping his prayers focused on Lamar, but he really hopes to see his friend and former baller recover very soon.
“What people need to realize is the man Lamar is a better person than what most people know of him as a basketball player,” Magic told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY on the red carpet at the Habitat for Humanity Builders Ball. “He is so kind and thoughtful,” Magic continued, praising the father of two who is currently in a coma in a Las Vegas, Nevada hospital after being found unconscious at a nearby brothel on Tuesday, Oct. 13. So sad.
However, Magic also shared that he and his wife, Cookie, are actively “praying” for Lamar and have yet to give up hope that he could make a comeback. “We really hope he pulls through,” Magic said.
Obviously Magic isn’t the only one hoping to see Lamar recover from his alleged drug overdose. Not only would his two young children like to see their father again, but his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, 31, rushed to be by his side Tuesday evening as soon as she heard the devastating news of his condition.
Our thoughts remain with Lamar, as well as his family and friends, during this incredibly difficult time.
