Great Scott! Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd staged an epic ‘Back to the Future’ reunion in the latest Toyota commercial, the same day they time traveled forward to in ‘Back to the Future II.’ Click to WATCH!
Talk about a reunion more than a decade in the making! Michael J. Fox, 54, and Christopher Lloyd, 76, teamed up for a new Toyota commercial, but it’s the irony of this Back to the Future reunion that has us talking. The date of this reunion is the same day that Marty McFly and Doc Brown time traveled to in the BTTF sequel!
The pair from the hit ’80s movie come together in this Toyota commercial to talk about what they did and didn’t get right about what life would be like in 2015. The movie was released in 1989, so a lot has changed.
We have 3D movies and fingerprint technologies, but Michael (and the rest of us) are still waiting on self-tying Nikes and dog-walking robots. Michael thinks it’s pretty funny that they thought fax machines would still be around, but Christopher disagrees.
“Can you believe we said fax machines would still be around?” Michael says. “Yeah, I got a fax machine,” Christopher replies. “Who do you fax?” Michael asks in return. “I fax the people I fax!” Christopher says back.
The full video will be released on Oct. 21, the exact date that they traveled to in the film. Click here to watch the full video!
Since this video will likely leave you wanting more, Christopher admits he’s totally down for a Back to the Future IV. “I would love to do Doc again, no question,” Christopher told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s tough to come up with an idea that contains the excitement of the original three,” he added. “So it would be a real challenge for the writers to come up with an original Back to the Future story that has the same passion and intensity and excitement as the other three. But it could be done, you never know.”
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of this Back To The Future reunion? Should they reunite for another movie? Let us know!
