T.I. shocked his fans when he dissed Hillary Clinton by saying a woman should never be president, but his wife, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle-Harris, wasn’t surprised at all! Tiny defended her hubby’s remarks, saying he’s just ‘sometimes’ sexist and that she even occasionally agrees with him!
No one can say that Tameka “Tiny” Cottle-Harris, 40, is not ride or die. Tiny defended her husband, T.I., 35, after he said that Hillary Clinton, 67, should never be president because she’s a woman! Tiny said that her hubby just has an old-fashioned way of thinking and that she agrees with some of his sexist thoughts!
While speaking with TMZ on Oct, 13, Tiny said she wasn’t disrespected by T.I.’s remarks about how women are “too emotional” to be president. “I know him and I who he is,” she said, siding with her husband before adding that she did think his words were “not tasteful.” Tiny admitted that Tip’s “sometimes” sexist because he has “the old…’man takes care of woman,’ chivalry-type” of thinking.
“He just wants to be ‘the man,'” Tiny said. “He just wants to take care of everything. He just wants the woman to, you know, be a woman and be treated like a princess.” While Tiny said that she sometimes agrees with T.I.’s sexism, especially when she’s being treated like royalty, she said “a woman has the right to do [anything she wants] just as much as a man.”
It seems there’s a difference of opinion in the T.I household. While talking to DJ Whoo Kid during The Whoolywood Shuffle, the “Whatever You Like” rapper slammed Hillary by saying that he could never “vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman.” T.I. said that “women make rash decisions, emotionally. They make permanent, cemented decisions, and then later – they kind of like, it didn’t happen or they didn’t mean for it to happen.”
While Tiny stood by her man over his comments, she said that she’s going to make sure T.I. knocks it off with his sexist, misogynistic behavior. Tip better watch out! Tiny is large and in charge!
It didn’t take long for fans to blast T.I. over his remarks, and he quickly apologized on Twitter. “My comments about women running for president were unequivocally insensitive and wrong,” T.I. wrote on his official Twitter on Oct. 13. “I sincerely apologize to everyone I offended.” It seemed T.I. was serious over his comments and hoped that his fans — both male and female — could forgive him.
What do you think about Tiny’s coming to the defense of her husband, HollywoodLifers?
